3.10.
(Optional) Connecting a UPS
If users want to install a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to provide clean power and offer
protection against mains power failures, please follow the following instructions.
1.
Before you purchase a UPS system, please check the supported UPS interfaces and
communication types.
2.
Supported types
UPS via SNMP, Serial UPS with COM port, and USB UPS.
3.
Communication types
network UPS via SNMP, Serial UPS with COM port, and USB UPS.
Serial communication is the only supported type.
4.
Connect the UPS to the XCubeFAS.

(Optional) Connecting the USB LCM
If you purchased the USB LCM, please use the enclosed USB extension cable (A-male to A-
female) to connect to the system. The Following procedures are for the USB LCM connection:

Connect the USB LCM to the female side of the USB extension cable.
7.
Connect the male side of the USB extension cable to the USB port on the system front pillar.
