5 – NetWare Driver Installation
Removing the Driver

When prompted, press Y in answer to all questions except SERVER
(Y/N)? . When prompted SERVER (Y/N)? , press N.
b. Copy the QL2300.HAM and QL2300.DDI files from the disk to the
following directories on the server:
C:\NWSERVER\DRIVERS
(NetWare 6. x )
C:\NWSERVER
(NetWare 5. x )
Make sure the QL2300.HAM and QL2300.DDI files are in the C: directory.
Step 3. Start the server and manually load the driver once for each QLA200 HBA
in the system. Each time you load the driver, note the slot number for future
reference.
Step 4. Start NWCONFIG. Select NCF Files Options . Select Edit STARTUP.NCF
File to edit the file STARTUP.NCF.
Step 5. At the end of the STARTUP.NVF file, append the following load line once
for each QLA200 HBA in the system, using the slot number written down
from
step 3 :
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=n /LUNS /ALLPATHS /PORTNAMES /QUALIFIED
For example, if you have two QLA200 HBAs in slots 2 and 3, add the
following lines:
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=2 /LUNS /ALLPATHS /PORTNAMES /QUALIFIED
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=3 /LUNS /ALLPATHS /PORTNAMES /QUALIFIED
Step 6. Exit the editor (save the changes you made).
Step 7. Exit NWCONFIG.
Step 8. Restart the NetWare server.
