EXTENDING THE NYLON LINE
WARNING
Do not use any kind of metal wire or metal wire encased in plastic in the cutting head. This
may cause serious injuries to the user.
Your trimmer uses 1.6 mm diameter, round nylon line to cut grass and weeds quickly and
easily. During use, the tip of the nylon line will get shorter due to wear. Cutting line will wear
faster if the cutting or edging is done along sidewalks or other abrasive surfaces or heavier
weeds are being cut.

or this reason, the cutter is provided with a system: “Auto - feed” that when the cutting line is
too short

it can feed for itself.
REPLACEMENT SPOOL
1. Push the tabs (b) of the spool holder (a) both sides down and pull it out.
2. Remove the empty spool (c) and clean the inside of the spool holder carefully removing
all dust and grass residues.
3. Insert now the new spool in the spool base and push the end of line through the lateral
holes (d).
4. Push the spool holder on and fasten it securely.
5. Re-establish the length of the line by pushing the head of spool holder and pull the line
ends out to the desired length.
CAUTION!
Under no circumstances wind extra line on the empty spool. Instead replace it with a new
one, the same as the original. The use of line with different characteristics to those of the
original can permanently damage the grass trimmer as well as voiding the terms of the
manufacturer’s warranty .
OPERATING AREA
Only cut with the left (shown here as light grey) area of the cutting unit when the unit is being
moved from right to left.
In the right (dark grey) area, the threads rotate in your direction.
This represents a high level of kickback risk and objects may be thrown in your direction by
the rotation of the thread. You may be hurt as a result.
When the unit is moved from left to right, ensure that the nylon line is kept away from the
grass to ensure that the grass is not thrown up.
Cut long grass from top to bottom to ensure that the grass does not get tangled around the
spool.
Only use the tip of the nylon line. This way you use less nylon line and avoid grass getting
caught up in the spool.
