Energy-saving mode
In energy-saving mode, the RWM MC is
switched off when it is inactive for 80 sec-
onds. A countdown shows the time re-
maining until the device is switched off.
An acoustic signal tells you when the
countdown begins.
During the countdown, you can switch
back to stand-by mode by pressing the
Start button.
Stand-by mode
After switching on or after the reading out
of the smoke alarm device is finished, the
device goes into stand-by mode.
Test mode
During the readout of a smoke alarm de-
vice, you are in test mode. To do this, the
RWM MC and smoke alarm device must
be connected and switched on.
4 Commissioning
4.1 Insert batteries
The batteries (2 x AAA, 1.5 V) are includ-
ed in the scope of delivery and must be
inserted in the RWM MC before commis-
sioning. Proceed as follows:

Open the battery compartment
cover of the RWM MC.
(2)
Insert batteries into the battery
compartment.
(3)
Close the battery compartment.
4.2 Connect the adapter cable
Before you can connect the device with
the smoke alarm device, you must con-
nect the adapter cable to the RWM MC:

Insert the RJ plug of the adapter ca-
ble in the connection socket of the
RWM MC until it clicks in audibly.
