Refrigerator
A 12-volt refrigerator is standard equipment.
The breaker on the MDP and the thermostat
inside the refrigerator must be on. Use care
while operating the refrigerator without the
engines running; continued use will drain the
house battery. When connected to shore
power, keep the battery charger on and the
house battery switch on. If the boat is
equipped with the generator, make sure the
battery charger is operating. If the house
battery voltage falls below 9.6 volts, the
refrigerator will shut off. Refer to the refriger-
ator owner’s manual for additional operating
and maintenance information.
Microwave Oven
A microwave oven is standard equipment.
The microwave operates on AC power and
is protected by a breaker on the AC panel.
Refer to the microwave owner’s manual for
additional operating and maintenance infor-
mation.
8.5 Convertible V-Berth and
Table
The table lowers electrically to convert the V-
Berth to a bed. While lowering the table,
watch that the cushions don’t get caught
under the table. Once the table is in the full
“DOWN” position, remove the forward cush-
ion, release the latch on each seat and
swing inward. Latch the seats in place.
Remove the filler cushions from there stor-
age area and put in place. Stow the forward
cushion under the seat.
8.6 Carbon Monoxide Detector
The Safety Section in this manual contains
important information on carbon monoxide
and the carbon monoxide detector. Read
section titled Carbon Monoxide.
8.7 Air Conditioners
The reverse cycle air conditioners can be
operated to cool or heat. The cabin air con-
ditioner is located under the mid-berth. The
helm air conditioner is located behind the
port side entertainment center. Both units
are controlled by thermostats located in the
cabin. To operate either or both units first
turn on the AC cooling pump breaker and
then the individual air conditioner breakers.
Air Conditioning Control Panel
The cold air returns are located under the
cabin steps and behind the helm seat. Do
not obstruct the return to obtain maximum
efficiency from the air conditioner. Be careful
when storing items in this compartment if an
air conditioner is installed. Items stored on or
next to the air conditioning unit can damage
the air conditioner or be damaged by heat or
condensation.
The air conditioners are self-contained and
sea water cooled. The cooling pump sup-
plies sea water to the units, cools the con-
densing unit and is discharged overboard.
The pump is located in the machinery
space.
