8 Scrapping and disposal
A complete overhaul of the product is possible and recommended, exclusively by the manufacturer or CAT, after 3 years of use or
max 25,000 hours of operation. If the conditions of the product do not allow regeneration or use (assessment by the
manufacturer), it must be replaced.
WITH REGARD TO "TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL", ALL DISASSEMBLY AND RECOVERY OF FINISHED COMPONENTS
(PC example) ARE FORBIDDEN EXCEPT FOR AUTHORIZED COMPANIES; DISPOSAL MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY DELIVERING
ALL THE MACHINE OR ITS PARTS TO A SPECIFIC COMPANY, SPECIALIZED AND AUTHORIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
LAWS.
The UV-C optoelectronic LEDs emit radiation that is harmful to living beings.
High exposure can cause temporary or even permanent damage to the visual organs and skin.
Therefore, UV LEDs must be disposed of according to the disposal laws of your area.
UV LEDs should never be disposed of in standard waste containers.
UV LEDs often break when thrown into a bin, bin or compactor, or when they run out in a landfill or incinerator.
The purifier and the individual parts (electrical and electronic in particular) comply with the provisions of the directives:
- RoHS 2002/95 / EC, WEEE 2002/96 / EC and 2003/108 / EC, relating to waste electrical and electronic equipment on
manufacturer / distributor is required to communicate the following warnings:
a) the electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) on which it is affixed must be subject to separate collection.
- WEEE is subject to separate collection by the producer, the distributor, or to be given to the ecological collection islands
differentiated present in each country or capital.
- The "waste" WEEE, electrical and electronic equipment, are NOT to be disposed of in the urban waste collection bins.

Warning
- when purchasing a new appliance it is possible to return the used equivalent to the distributor;
the distributor is required to collect it and manage its disposal operations.

- The penalties provided for in the event of i llegal disposal of WEEE waste are administrative for individuals and criminal
for all companies involved in the design / construction / management and disposal cycle.
The inserted symbol indicates that:
