Desktop:
The figure to the right shows the
desktop display, or main screen.
Refer to the "Navigating the Display" on
page
22
for more information on navigat-
ing the touchscreen.
Entering Data:
You can input data using
the keypad, stylus, soft input panel (SIP),
and the Scanner.
These methods are described in detail in
"Entering Data" on page
17
.
Powering Off:
To turn the PDA off, press
the
Power/Backlight
key again. This
action suspends the device, but does not actually turn it off. All run-
ning applications remain as you left them until you press the
Power/
Backlight
key again to resume operation of the device.
Adjusting the Brightness
The factory default for the
Brightness
is set at
maximum
. You can adjust
the brightness to your environment and comfort.
1. Press the
<FN2>
key while simultaneously pressing on the
Right
or
Left
edge of the
Navigation
key.
2. Press the
Right
edge to increase brightness and the
Left
edge to
decrease brightness. No screen will open
3. Adjust as desired.
Calibrating the Touch Screen
On the initial boot-up of the PDA,
the
Stylus Calibration
screen (labeled
Align Screen
) opens.
Press and briefly hold the stylus
on the center of each target as it
moves around the screen.
To recalibrate the touchscreen if it
seems out of alignment, press the
<FN2> + <Enter>
keys simultaneously
to open the
Stylus Calibration
(Align
Screen) window.
To circumvent the Touch Screen
Calibration, press the
<ESC>
key.
