10.2 NTP setting
NTP stands for
Network Time Protocol
, and it is an Internet protocol used to synchronize
the clocks of computers to some time reference. NTP is an Internet standard protocol. You
can directly type your NTP Server IP Address to have the RAID subsystem can work with it.
To set the NTP function, move the mouse cursor to select
‘RAID Model’
in the left tree node
and choose ‘
NTP setting
’ tab. Click on the ‘
Edit
’ button to enter the Raid System NTP
Function menu. Then click on the ‘
Use local time setting
’ or ‘
Sync with a NTP server
’ to
select the desired function.
Use local time setting: (Default)
If this option is selected, you have to sync RTC after restarting RAID System. RTC Stands for
Real Time Clock. It is used for setting the time on the controller. Setting the correct time
plays an important role in the system administration which helps the administrators to keep
accurate record of when the event actually occurs.
Use the following steps to Sync RTC:
1.
Select
‘RAID Model’
in the left tree node and choose ‘
System
’ tab. The system
information screen appears.

User can Sync the Real Time Clock manually using the ‘
Sync RTC
’
button.
