Connecting the Player to Other Devices
You can connect your portable DVD player to an external display for a larger
picture, or to an external audio system for better sound. In addition, you can
connect other video output devices, such as VCRs and camcorders, to the player
and play back their output on the player’s screen.
Connecting to a Separate Display
There are two video outputs on the player: AV and S-VIDEO.
To connect the AV output to a
separate display:
1. Set the
AV SELECT
switch on
the rear of the player to
OUT
.
2. Connect the yellow connector
on the included video adapter
cable to the composite video
input on the display.
3. Connect the other end to the
AV jack on the right side of
the player.
To connect the S-VIDEO output to a separate display:
1. Connect one end of an
S-Video adapter cable
(not included—
available from Protron)
to the S-VIDEO jack on
the rear of the player.
2. Connect the other end
to the S-Video input on
the display.
To connect the audio output to
the display:
1. Set the
AV SELECT
switch on
the rear of the player to
OUT
.
2. Attach the red (right) and
white (left) connectors on the
included video adapter cable
to the display’s audio input.
3. Connect the other end of the
cable to the AV jack on the
player.
