- PROTOTYPE hubs require maintenance service after every 1000km or 3 months.
- Riding in wet conditions necessitates more frequent service. Often this is as simple as
removing the axle and free wheel from the hub and removing any moisture from inside,
should not replace periodic complete disassembly and maintenance, especially in extreme or
prolonged wet conditions.
- Never use a high-pressure cleaner or steam to clean your PROTOTYPE wheels, as the seals
are unable to withstand the pressure. Use of such cleaners will result in corrosion and
material damage.
- Care and maintenance will prolong the service life of your bicycle and its components and
improve the parts performance.
- Before every ride, make sure that your hubs and wheels are in good conditions and working
perfectly and that quick-releases are properly closed.
- Verification of the springs should be part of the maintenance process.
- The springs should be replaced when they reach the minimum recommended length.
-Must be replaced simultaneously, even though some do not present a sufficient wear.
