- Check the condition of the rims and take particular care to the braking surface. In doubt
about their status, contact an authorized agent or PROTOTYPE distributor in your country.
- Ensure that the quick-releases are securely tight, and that the wheels are centered within
the bike.
- Inspect the rims and tires for any signs of excessive wear.
- Inspect the tires to ensure correct tire pressure.
- Ensure that the wheels spin through and smoothly with no side-to-side play, and all spokes
must be tensioned.
- Inspect the brakes for any signs of cable or hydraulic line damage, excessive brakes pad
wear or rotor misalignment.
- You’re recommended to replace the rim tape whenever you change the tire or once a year
if the wheel is in use, regardless of the distance covered.
- Before mounting a tire always check that the ribbon is properly glued and without liquid
sealant infiltration signals.

- Check the valve body and take special attention to the valve itself. If necessary, change
one or both.
