DETECTOR DESCRIPTION

Turn unit on:
1. Measurement with sound alarm:
Beep Mode:
Press the power button for 1 second, a single-beep sound with
red LED flash for 0.5s and then a steady green LED to illuminate in the tip of
the tester.
Release the power button; the tester is now activated and is operational
with beeper alarm. Test on known live circuit to verify tester functionality.
2. Measurement without sound alarm
Silent Mode:
Press the power button for 3 seconds. A red LED flash for
0.5s without beep and then a steady green LED to illuminate in the tip
of the tester. Release the power button; the tester is now activated and
is operational without beeper. Test on known live circuit to verify tester
functionality.

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. Listen for a long beeper
sound and watch the “power on” green/red LEDs turn o

. Release the power
button; the tester is now deactivated and is not operational.
System self-test:
The “power on” green/red LED & Beeper visually confirms battery
su
ff
iciency, system integrity, and at operation/active mode. Always test on
known live circuit to verify tester functionality prior to use.
Checking for the presence of AC voltage
Prior to use, test on known live circuit to verify tester functionality.
Place tip of the tester near an AC voltage. If the tester detects voltage, the
“power on” LED in the tip of the tester changes color from green to red and a
discontinuous beeping sound is generated under Measurement with beeper
alarm. The sound frequency will change according to the voltage it detects,
the stronger voltage it detects, the sound frequency will be higher.
Low battery indication
Scenario 1
– Powering on the tester: The “power on” LED in the tip of the
tester changes from a steady green to a blinking green and a series of
beeping sounds is generated. The tester then turns off. The unit is now
deactivated and is not operational; the batteries require replacement. To
replace the tester batteries refer to the Maintenance section titled “Battery
Replacement.”
Scenario 2
– Operating the tester: If the LED lights become dim and the tone
fades, the tester may require new batteries. To replace the tester batteries
refer to the Maintenance section titled “Battery Replacement.”

After 5 minutes of non-use, the tester automatically powers o

to conserve
battery life. Listen for a double-beep sound and watch the “power on” green
LED turn o
ff
. The tester is now deactivated and is not operational.

button to turn on Flashlight. Flashlight
