10 Decommissioning and recycling

10.1 Safety

The lifting device may only be decommissioned and prepared for disposal by qualified specialists.

10.2 Decommissioning the lifting device

1. Set the main switch to 0.

2. Park the lifting device securely.

3. If the lifting device is defective, clearly indicate this on the device.

4. Remove the battery (> See ch. Replace battery) and store in a dry, well-ventilated location.

5. Remove the lifting device from the hoist.

6. Remove the suction plates.

7. If necessary, place a protection cover over all the suction plates.

8. Lay the load arm horizontally and rotate into the free corner.

9. Store the lifting device so that it cannot be damaged and protect against unauthorized use.

10.3 Disposing of the lifting device

1. Decommission the lifting device.

2. Detach and dispose of the suction plates.

3. Release the hose clamps and remove the vacuum hoses.

4. Release the end stop screws on the beams.

5. Detach and dispose of the beams.

6. Detach and dispose of the vacuum generator.

7. Detach and dispose of the charging device.

8. Remove the battery and dispose of it, taking into consideration the following notes.

9. Detach and dispose of the base body.

company to observe the applicable disposal and environmental regulations. Probst is happy to assist you in
finding a suitable company.

NOTE

The battery contains water-contaminating fluids

Danger of environmental damage.

Dispose of used batteries at a collection point.



Do not dispose of batteries with the non-recyclable waste.



Transport batteries upright, secured against tipping over, and secured against short circuits.



Transport damaged batteries in a suitable container.
