OPERATION
WARNING! Make sure the ON/OFF switch (N) is in the OFF
position before connecting the power supply cord to a power
outlet.
The station will automatically turn off if the unit overheats. Power will
automatically return once the temperature falls below the overheating
threshold.
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
BEFORE EACH USE
1. Clear the work area of combustible or flammable materials.
2. Make sure the work area is well ventilated, as there may be toxic or
irritating fumes.
3. Clean the heat gun nozzle of any residue from previous work.
4. Place the heat gun (E) in the cradle (F).
5. Plug the control unit into the power supply.
6. Press the ON/OFF button to the ON position. The tool’s
temperature will increase until it reaches the displayed temperature.
7.
Tap the ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ button (M and L) to change the
temperature one degree. Press and hold the button to increase or
decrease the temperature quickly.
8. Press the ºC/ºF button (I) to switch from Celsius or Fahrenheit.
HEAT GUN OPERATION
1. Set the heat gun to a temperature
slightly above that of the solder’s
melt point. Consult the solder
manufacturer’s information to
determine the melt point.
2. Allow the heat gun to run until it
attains the programmed level of heat.
2.1 Placing the tool on the cradle
without turning the power off
will cause it to enter sleep
mode. SLP will appear on the
