6.1 Lock the infrared thermometer into ON mode by
pressing the Lock Button (D). This is useful to take a
continuous reading up to 60 minutes. Unlock the
infrared thermometer by pressing the lock button
again. This function is only available in modes E, MAX,
MIN, DIF and AVG.
7. The function mode reading (R) will appear on the LCD next
to the function mode indicator (Q). The data displayed will
vary depending on the mode selected.
8. The temperature bar (N) has three colour sections. Two
colours appear when the trigger is held in either MIN or
MAX mode.
8.1 The yellow section is visible in both MIN and MAX
mode to indicate the temperature is above the MIN
reading or below the MAX reading.
8.2 Select MIN and the blue section appears on the left
when the reading is close to the minimum
measurement.
8.3 Select MAX and the red section appears on the left
when the reading is close to the maximum
measurement.
9. The thermometer automatically shuts off if left idle for
more than 60 seconds. This is extended to 12 minutes when
in PRB mode.
USING THE THERMOCOUPLE PROBE
WARNING! The probe’s tines may be hot and could inflict a
burn injury after a measurement reading. Allow the probe
tines to cool after removal.
The infrared thermometer accepts a K-type thermocouple
probe (not included) for a greater measurement range.
1. Insert the probe terminal end into the infrared thermometer
port (E).
2. Select Function Mode PRB (see Function Mode Selection).
