3. Insert the probes tines into the
object. You may lay the probe
tines on the object instead.
4. The temperature readings will
display automatically without
pressing any buttons.
5. Remove the probe from the object when finished with the
measurement.
FUNCTION MODE SELECTION
Several different readings are available before taking a
measurement. Select the function to view the following data.
Displays the emissivity data. The default emissivity
is 0.95.
Press the Mode Button (C), then press the Lock
Button (D) or °C/°F Button (B) to set the
emissivity. Press the Mode Button again to confirm
the setting. The emissivity can be changed from
0.10 (10E) to 1 (100E).
Press the Mode Button (C) repeatedly to select one
of the following modes: Maximum (MAX), Minimum
(MIN), Difference between MAX and MIN (DIF) or
Average (AVG). The measurement reading will
display beside the mode icon during the reading.
Press Lock Button (D) or °C/°F Button (B) to change
the High Alarm (HAL) or Lo Alarm (LAL), then press
Measurement Trigger (F) to confirm it. The High or
Low icon (M) will flash and you will hear a beep
when the reading is outside the High Alarm (HAL) or
Lo Alarm (LAL) limit set.
Connect the thermocouple to the thermocouple port
(E). To see the minimum or maximum data during
the probe measurement, hold down the Lock Button
(D) or °C/°F Button (B).
