Please check that the following items are all included in your package.
• Do not use the PL-HD220 in locations where corrosive gasses are present, since they
can lead to a hard disk breakdown.
• To prevent damage to file data, be sure to shut down the PL unit's OS before turning
OFF the main power.
• To extend the life of your PL unit's hard disk, use the BIOS menu [POWER MAN-
AGEMENT SETUP] - [HDD Power Down] setting to turn the HDD unit's power
OFF when the HDD is not being used. Recommended setting is the factory setting of
"5Min". When using Windows
®
2000, use the [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] -
[Power Options] - [Turn off hard disks] setting to turn the HDD unit's power OFF
when not in use. Recommended setting is [After 5 mins].
