RTC Battery Set
Replacing the Battery
Use only the replacement battery (model number: PFXZGEBT1).
DANGER
EXPLOSION, FIRE, OR CHEMICAL HAZARD
Follow these instructions for the lithium batteries:
• Use this product's replacement battery only.
• Protect battery from any potential short circuit.
• Recycle or properly dispose of used batteries.
• Do not recharge, disassemble or heat above 80 °C (176 °F).
• Use your hands or insulated tools to remove or replace the battery.
• Maintain proper polarity when inserting and connecting a new battery.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
Step Action
1 Pull out the tray of the RTC Battery Set.

2 Safety alert symbol (see the safety messages above)
2 Remove the spent battery from the tray by touching the battery
from the bottom.
3 Put the new battery on the tray in accordance with the polarity
markings in the tray and on the battery.
4 Close the tray.
NOTE : Refer to “Attaching the RTC Battery Set” (see page 34) before you
attach the RTC Battery Set to this product.
