5. The turntable (7) and the roller ring (8)
can be washed in the dishwasher. Clean
the grill rack (6) by hand with some wash-
ing-up liquid.
Electrical connections
• Check whether the appliance’s supply
voltage is compatible with the supply
voltage used in your house (see the type
plate).
• Please ensure you only connect the ap-
pliance to a professionally installed pro-
tective contact socket with sufficient fuse
protection (see “Technical specifications”
on page EN-38).
• The plug socket must be located away
from the reverse side of the microwave,
otherwise the plug will be in contact with
the back plate.
• Do not use any multiplugs, extension
cables, timer switches or remote control
systems.
• After connecting, you will hear a beep and
the display (14) will show
0:00
.
Setting the current time
During start-up and after a power cut, you will
have to set the time. Otherwise the appliance
will not work.
Notice: The appliance is always in 24-hour
mode.
When the appliance is connected to the
mains, a beep will sound and the display (14)
will show
0:00
.
1. Press the “Time/Timer” button (16).
The two left digits of the indicator will start
flashing on the display (14).
2. Turn the adjustment dial (19) to set the
hour.
3. Press the “Time/Timer” button (16) again.
4. The two right digits of the indicator will
start flashing on the display (14).
5. Turn the adjustment dial (19) to set the
minutes.
6. Press the “Time/Timer” button (16) once
again.
The time is now set.
Heating up the appliance for
the first time
A slight odour may be produced during first
use. This is non-toxic and disappears after a
short moment.
• Allow the appliance to run for 10 minutes
at 200 °C in convection mode (see “Cook-
ing with convection” on page EN-22).
Ventilator lag
After the cooking time has finished, the fan
will continue to run for a few minutes to cool
the appliance down. The duration depends
on how hot it is inside the appliance.
Cooking chamber door and
lighting
The cooking chamber lighting automatically
switches on when the appliance is in oper-
ation or when the cooking chamber door (1)
is open.
If the cooking chamber door (1) is opened
while the appliance is in operation, the cook-
ing process will be stopped.
