Load Master Disc onto the Hard Drive
In order to copy from the Hard Drive, you are required to load your
master disc onto a hard drive partition.
The number of partitions is determined by dividing your Hard
Drive’s total capacity by 1GB for CD format, 5GB for DVD-5
format or 9 GB for DVD-9 format (Double Layer) and subtracting
one partition for system use.
For example, if you have a 40GB Hard Drive, you can calculate
the number of DVD-5 format partitions by: 40 / 5 = 8. Since there
is 1 partition reserved for the system use, you will have 7 partitions
to use.
Or you can calculate the number of DVD-9 format partitions by:
40 / 9 = 4.17. Since you cannot use an incomplete partition, there
will be a total of 4 partitions available for a 40GB Hard Drive.
Since 1 partition is reserved for system use; there will be 3
partitions available for use.
