Safety & Bilge Pumps
SAFETY should be paramount in your daily cruising. A MAN OVERBOARD DRILL should be discussed and
perhaps even practiced with a life jacket. Remember lifejackets are stowed in the safety gear bags. A few should
always be out and ready. Your flares and safety equipment are located in the orange Coast Guard safety kit in the
main salon, aft starboard cabinet.
Prima Vista is equipped with three AUTOMATIC BILGE PUMPS. The master switches are located on the
electrical panel. The switches are marked GREEN and will be left in the ON position.
The ENGINE SPARES BOX is stowed under the corner seat cushion in the forward port salon area. This includes
oil filter, raw water impeller, pump parts, injectors, and other small parts.
THRU-HULL LOCATIONS are well-described and documented in the Carver Motor Yacht Owners Manual in the
port sliding cabinet by aft stairway in salon.
