Caution: When you are cooking
keep children away from the
vicinity of the oven.
If it is found, over a period of time, that
the ovens become hotter when used at
a particular temperature, then the
thermostat may need to be replaced.
In the event of the oven burner f l a m e
being accidentally extinguished, turn off
the burner control and do not attempt
to re-ignite the oven burner for at least
one minute.

Using the main oven
Ignition
Push in and turn the main oven control
knob to the ‘
FULL ON
’ position (gas
mark 9). Hold the control knob in,
and press the ignition switch or hold a
lighted match or taper to the burner,
until the burner lights. A few seconds
after the flame has established, the
control knob can be released.
If after 15 seconds, the burner has not
lit, turn off the oven and leave the com-
partment door open. Wait at least
one minute before a further attempt to
ignite the burner.
Do not hold the control knob in for
more than 15 seconds.
Turn the control knob to the required
s e t t i n g .
To turn off,
return the control knob to
the “off” position.
