Excess steam from the Pressure
regulator.
Heat is too high.
Weight assembly not

correctly.
Weight assembly is loose
Turn down / reduce heat.
Press the weight assembly into posi on.
Remove from heat source & wait un cooker
is cool.
When reduced make sure the visual
pressure indicator remains up.
Always use protec n “an oven
glove/mi ” or wait un cooker is cool.
When cool, remove lid and ghten
(loose vent tube nut)
Cooker boils dry

General rule for liquid quan ty is 1/2

further 1/4 of a pint for each 15
minutes therea er.

Once VPI has risen reduce heat “Aim to
maintain a gentle hissing sound & a
very gentle escape of steam from
weight.
CAUTION - if the cooker boils dry it will
over heat. If the base becomes bulged
or warped, this cannot be repaired and
is excluded from the Pres ge Quality
Guarantee.
