For simplicity, in this manual we will speak of CTCSS/DCS code
to indicate both a CTCSS tone and a DCS code, of
GENRE
to
indicate the kind of code (CTCSS, DCS or OFF = no code). TYPE
indicates whether this is a TX transmission or an RX reception and
MODE specifies the operating mode, Identical Id or different DF.
See § CTCSS/DCS page 11 .
This menu allows you to configure the operating mode of the
CTCSS/DCS
function and to store the CTCSS/DCS codes.
2 operating modes:
-
Id
means that the code used will be identical for transmission
(
TX
) and for reception (
RX
).
-
DF
means that the user can use one code (or OFF = no code) for
transmission (
TX
) and another (or OFF = no code) for reception
( RX ).
OPERATING MODE
1. Long press the MENU key ( 4 ) to access the MENUS . appears
in the display.

key ( 3 ) to select the menu.

STORING A CTCSS/DCS CODE
Depending on the operating mode used, the procedure differs:

5. A short press on the MENU key ( 4 ) makes the genre blink ( “CTCSS” ,
“DCS” or “ OFF ” no genre).
