This equipment performs a priority management of the power demands at its outputs. Due to
the fact that the sum of the permanent and peak power available at its outputs could exceed
the maximum values of the equipment if they were demanded simultaneously, the equipment
has a priority management of the power available at the outputs.
For this purpose, it gives priority to the power supplied by the 12V output and that of the
converter intended for communications over the power supplied by the converter intended for
motor power supply.
The following figure shows the block diagram of this equipment:

CHARGER FUNCTION
This equipment is powered at an input voltage of 230VAC (range 184-265Vac), acting as
switched AC/DC converters, with galvanic isolation between input and output (up to 2kV at
industrial frequency and 5kV lightning impulse).
The power stage transforms the energy coming from the mains into a stabilised DC voltage,
providing isolation between input and output.
The equipment control is responsible for keeping the output voltages regulated, charging
the battery and monitoring other parameters to ensure that they are within the set margins.
It is also responsible for signalling, alarms and Ethernet communications.
The equipment has two non-isolated DC/DC converters that receive as input the output
connected to the battery, generating two 48V outputs for powering communications equipment
and motors.
