Procedure 7.21 - Replacing an Upper Pivot
Warning:
Care must be taken when work is being performed in the area of the stairarms. Pinch
points exist between the stairarm and ramp and between the stairarm and crankarm,
when the rear covers are removed.

Procedure

Set the on/off switch in the off position.
2.
Remove three bolts and washers that fasten the handlebar to the upper pivot.
3.
Rotate the handlebar forward so that it is resting on the floor.
4.
Remove the upper pivot with a 7/16” allen wrench. A 7/16” hex key bit that fits your torque
wrench will be required in step 5.

Thread the upper pivot onto the frame and torque the 7/16” allen upper pivot bolt to 100
ft./lbs.
