Camera Mode
Capturing Photos
1. Insert a compatible SD card into the camcorder.
2. Power the camcorder on. Set the camcorder to Camera Mode by pressing the MODE button and then tapping directly on the
CAMERA icon on the screen. Once in Camera mode, the Camera icon will appear in the top left.
3. Press the PHOTO button on top of the camcorder to capture a photo. The amount of photos you can capture with the memory
card’s remaining capacity will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. This number decreases as you capture more
photos or videos.
Notes:
1. Use the T (Zoom-In) and W (Zoom-Out) buttons for zooming in and out.
2. Press the LIGHT button to enable or disable the LED video light.
3. Press the DISP button to show the on-screen display information, or to turn the screen off to conserve power.
Photo Resolution
In photo mode, you can select a photo resolution from several different options. A higher resolution will capture a better quality photo,
but will also occupy more storage on your memory card.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Camera mode, press the MENU button to enter the Camera settings.
2. Tap the RESOLUTION icon on the screen to enter the Resolution menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a resolution. The following settings are
available:
24M (5600x4200), 20M (5200x3900), 16M (4640x3480), 12M (4000x3000), 10M (3648x2736), 7MHD (3648x2048),
5M (2592x1944), 3M (2048x1536), 2MHD (1920x1080) and VGA (640x480)
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
Self-Timer (Camera Mode)
This setting allows you to set a delay from the time the shutter button is pressed until a photo is captured.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Camera mode, press the MENU button to enter the Camera settings.
2. Tap the SELF-TIMER icon on the screen to enter the Self-Timer menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a setting. The following settings are
available:
Off, 2S Timer, 5S Timer, 10S Timer
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
Exposure (Video Mode)
This setting is used to manually set the exposure value to compensate for light in various scenes.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Video mode, press the MENU button to enter the Video settings.
2. Tap the EXPOSURE icon on the screen to enter the Exposure menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a setting. The following settings are
available:
-3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
Metering (Video Mode)
This setting is used to manually set the metering location and type to compensate for aperture in various scenes.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Video mode, press the MENU button to enter the Video settings.
2. Tap the METERING icon on the screen to enter the Metering menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a setting. The following settings are
available:
Center-weighted, Multi, Spot
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
