Formatting the SD Card
Note: It is important to format the SD Card for first time use. Please note that all data stored on the SD Card will be deleted including
protected files. Be sure to download or transfer any files you want to retain to your computer before the SD Card is formatted.
1. Power the camcorder on.
2. Press the MODE button to enter the main menu.
3. Tap the FORMAT icon in the SETUP on the screen to enter the Format menu.
4. Tap YES to format.
5. Once formatting is completed, you will be returned back to the setup menu.
6. Tap the green arrow key on the bottom to revert back to your main viewing screen.
Video Mode
Recording Video
1. Insert a compatible SD card into the camcorder.
2. Power the camcorder on. The camcorder should default to Video Mode upon powering up. If not, set it to Video Mode by pressing
the MODE button and then tapping directly on the VIDEO icon on the screen. Once in video mode, the Video icon will appear in
the top left.
3. Press the RECORD button on the back of the camcorder to begin or end recording. The recording duration will show on the top right
of the LCD screen and a will flash on the screen.
Notes:
1. Use the T (Zoom-In) and W (Zoom-Out) buttons for zooming in and out.
2. Press the LIGHT button to enable or disable the LED video light.
3. Press the DISP button to show the on-screen display information, or to turn the screen off to conserve power.
4. The camcorder will automatically stop recording when the SD card has reached its maximum capacity.
Video Resolution
In video mode, you can select a video resolution from four different options. A higher resolution will record a better quality video, but
will also occupy more storage on your memory card.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Video mode, press the MENU button to enter the Video settings.
2. Tap the RESOLUTION icon on the screen to enter the Resolution menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a resolution
1080P@30fps,720p@60fps, 720p@30fps, VGA@30fps
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
White Balance (Video Mode)
This setting is used to adjust the white balancing and colour of the video based on the light setting in a scene.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Video mode, press the MENU button to enter the Video settings.
2. Tap the AWB icon on the screen to enter the White Balance menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a setting. The following settings are
available:
Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent or Tungsten
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
Colour (Video Mode)
This setting is used to add a colour filter overlay on the video when recording a video clip.
1. Once the camcorder is powered on and is in Video mode, press the MENU button to enter the Video settings.
2. Tap the COLOUR icon on the screen to enter the Colour menu.
3. Press the Zoom In/Out buttons or tap the corresponding icon on the touchscreen to select a setting. The following settings are
available:
Standard, Sepia, Monochrome and Vivid
4. Tap the green arrow key to confirm the setting and exit this menu.
5. Tap the green arrow key again to revert back to your main viewing screen.
