5. Connect
hydraulic hoses

Connect the hydraulic hoses:

a.

Connect one hose from the skid steer’s hydraulic supply port to the supply inlet port on
the log splitter’s control valve.

b.

Connect the second hose from the skid steer’s return port to the connection at the
return outlet port on the log splitter’s control valve.

c.

Check to be sure that all fittings are tight.

WARNING:

Make sure all fittings are tight before applying pressure. High

fluid pressures and temperatures are developed in the hydraulic system. Hydraulic
fluid escaping through even a tiny opening can burn or puncture skin, resulting in
wounds that could cause blood poisoning, infections, disability, gangrene, amputation,
or death. If injured by escaping fluid, no matter how small the wound is, see a doctor
at once.

6. Add hydraulic oil
to reservoir

1.

Start skid steer and use split control lever to extend and retract wedge 5 (five) times

to remove air from the high pressure lines.

2.

With wedge retracted, check oil level again.  Fill if necessary. Please refer to
Specifications for appropriate oil type.
