Secure top / bottom of the ladder.
Place the ladder only on a
horizontal, dry, immovable firm
surface.
Never climb up the ladder sideways
and never climb from ladder to
ladder.
Do not use standing ladders for
access to another level.
Do not use the ladder as a bridge.
Keep your body centered on the
ladder avoiding leaning too far
sideways.
Make sure that the ground is dry,
clean and free from any pollution,
such as water, oil or waste, which
can cause that the ladder slips.
Beware of electrical hazards when
transporting ladder.
The ladder may only be used by one
person at a time.
Do not stand on the top two rungs.
Face ladder when ascending or
descending ladder.
Set the ladder always on a firm,
immovable ground.
The ladder has to be positioned in
such a way that the distance from
the foot of the ladder to the wall is
approximately equal to a quarter of
the operational length of the ladder.
The set-up angle will then be
approx. 65° - 75°.
Make sure the latch is fixed in
correct position.
Do not use two ladders to hold
platform for working.
Ensure top of ladder is correctly
positioned.
Climb the stepladder or ladder when
you have at least one hand free.
When ascending/descending the
stepladder or ladder, hold on
properly. This should always been
done while facing the stepladder or
ladder.
