1. Before cutting any type of wood, be sure the work

piece is firmly anchored or clamped to prevent

slipping.

2. Place blade and shoe lightly against work to be cut.
3. Switch on saw motor before applying pressure.
Metal cutting

1. In thin gauge sheet metals it is best to clamp wood

to the underside of the sheet. This will ensure a

clean cut without excess vibration or tearing of

metal.

2. Avoid forcing cutting blade as this reduces blade life

and causes costly blade breakage.

Pocket cutting

1. Measure the surface area to be cut and mark clearly

with a pencil, chalk or scriber.

2. Insert blade in blade clamp and tighten blade clamp

securely.

3. Tip the saw backward until the bottom edge of the

shoe is resting on the work surface.

4. Switch motor on, permitting blade to attain

maximum speed.

5. Grip handle steadily and begin a slow, deliberate

upward swing with the handle of the saw.

6. The blade will begin to feed into material. Always be

sure blade is completely through material before

continuing with pocket cut.

WARNING

Always hold saw firmly with both hands while cutting.

Whenever possible, the shoe must be held firmly

against the material being cut. This will prevent the

saw from jumping or vibrating and minimize blade

breakage..

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION

Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based

materials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can cause

damage to the plastic, and make the plastic

unserviceable.

CAUTION

Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic

housing or components.

WARNING

Remove the battery pack from the machine before

maintenance.

7.1

CLEAN THE MACHINE

CAUTION

The machine must be dry. Humidity can cause risks of

electrical shocks.

• Clear the unwanted material out of the air vent with

a vacuum cleaner.

• Do not spray the air vent or put the air vent in

solvents.

• Clean the housing and the plastic components with

a moist and soft cloth.
