ASSEMBLY
1.
Place the base on a stable, level surface.
2.
Mount the column onto the base. Align the
hole in the column support with the hole in
the base.
3.
Screw the M8x8 bolt into the base until it
secures the column.
4.
Loosen bolts on the table's collar. Slide the
table onto the column and move down
partway. Tighten the bolts to secure the table in place.
5.
Loosen the clamp bolt (Fig. 1-3) on the drill head (Fig. 1-1). Place the drill
head onto the column (Fig. 1-2) and slide it down until the column end is
partway up the belt guard cover. Rotate the head to align it with the base
if needed. Tighten the clamp bolt to secure the drill head.
6.
Screw the handle into the dentation shaft until hand-tight.
CHANGE THE DRIVE BELT SPEED
WARNING! Unplug the drill press from the power supply before making
any adjustments involving the drill bit to avoid a serious injury or
amputation.
CAUTION! Avoid trapping your fingers between the drive belt and pulleys
when adjusting the speed, as it can cause bruising or may break a finger.
1.
Open the drive belt cover.
2.
Choose the desired speed for your
drilling operation and move the belt to
the indicated position. Refer to the
chart inside the drive belt cover or
Figure 2.

Use a slower speed when using a
larger diameter drill bit or if the workpiece is a tougher material
(hardwood).
b.
Use a faster speed when using a smaller diameter drill bit or if the
workpiece is a softer material (softwood).
