Secure the workpiece so it cannot move while being worked on with the
air nibbler. Additional supports may be necessary with large workpieces.
4.
Mark the cutting path on the metal workpiece. Ensure there is nothing
beneath the workpiece that will interfere with the work.
CUTTING METAL
1.
Grip the air nibbler firmly and squeeze the trigger lever (#8). Allow the
nibbler to attain full speed before applying it to the workpiece.
2. Start cutting by placing the workpiece edge into the die slot. Apply gentle
pressure and follow the cutting path.
a.
Slow down if the air nibbler stalls, as you may be applying too much
pressure. You can back up an inch and resume cutting.
b. Stop cutting and confirm the air flow and PSI are correct (see
Specifications) should you continue to have stalling issues.
3.
Hold an unsupported section of the workpiece when completing the cut.
4.
Stop the tool when cutting is complete. Handle both sections of the
workpiece carefully as the edges will be jagged and sharp.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool fittings, alignment, hoses and power supply cord periodically.
Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced by an authorized
technician. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4.
Only use accessories intended for use with this tool.
5.
Keep the tool clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
6.
Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information.
