d. Do not use your hands to detect a hydraulic fluid leak. Use a large piece
of wood, cardboard or paper and watch for discolouration.
8. A damaged or disconnected hydraulic hose under pressure may whip around
and inflict personal injury or damage the work area. Secure the hose to a fixed
or permanent structure with clamps or cable ties.
9. Change your clothing immediately if sprayed with hydraulic fluid. Store
clothing or rags contaminated with hydraulic fluid in an approved metal safety
can with a spring-closing lid and venting designed to contain a fire.
10. Do not expose the fluid to an ignition source. Hydraulic fluid has a combustible
flash point of approximately 200°F (93°C). Consult the material Safety
Datasheet (MSDS) for your hydraulic oil to determine the actual flashpoint.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace the
missing part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a malfunction
and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.
Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
When this manual refers to a part number, it refers to the included Parts List.
Refer to the Parts Breakdown during assembly.
1. Position the lower cross member (#26) so the bolt holes align with the
lower bolt holes in the left post (#20). Insert a bolt (#25) through each bolt
hole from the inside.
2. Position a base section (#21) over the protruding bolts. Secure with a
washer (#22), a lock washer (#23) and nut (#24) on each bolt.
3. Align the support (#43) bolt hole with the outer bolt hole on the base section.
Secure with a washer (#14), lock washer (#15) and nut (#16). Secure the other
end of the support to the left post with a washer (#14), lock washer (#15) and
nut (#16). Secure a second support to the left post in the same manner.
4. Follow Steps 1 to 3 to attach the base section and supports to the
right post.
