Checking the motor oil
The plate compactor must be standing on
a level surface. Unscrew the oil nozzle cap
(9), remove the dipstick and wipe it off .
Re-insert it without tightening. Take it out
and read off the oil level, which should be
between the markings on the dipstick. If
necessary, top up with fresh oil and tighten
the cap again.
Changing the engine oil
It is easier to drain the engine oil while it is
warm.
Place a suitable collection vessel under
the drain screw (10 or 16). Unscrew the oil
nozzle cap (9 or 15), and remove. Undo the
drain screw and allow the oil to run into the
collection vessel.
Retighten the drain screw once all the oil
has run out. Refi ll the engine with engine
oil through the nozzle by the dipstick and
check that the oil level is between the
markings on the dipstick.
Checking the compactor oil
The plate compactor must be standing
on a level surface. Unscrew the oil nozzle
cap (19) from the compactor unit. The oil
must be right up to the edge of the hole. If
necessary, top up with fresh oil and tighten
the oil cap.
