Filling with paint
Check the paint is fully mixed and no skin has
formed. Filter if required before filling to remove
skin, particles etc.
Check tank is not under pressure, slacken the four
clamps (2), and remove lid.
Pour pain into tank (10). If paint comes in a can
that fits into tank, it can be inserted into the tank
instead. Check that pipe on underside of lid
reaches down into the can!
Fit lid and tighten clamps. Check lid fits tightly.
Use
Connecting air supply
Close regulator fully by turning anticlockwise.
Set supply pressure (max. 80 PSI) on air supply
and switch on.
Setting pressure
Set desired working pressure for spray gun by
turning regulator clockwise.
Pressure can be checked on the manometer (4).
Working pressure should normally be 25-30 PSI
but can be higher for use of spray guns with
internal mixing of paint and air, or if the gun
is used at high elevation above the tank.
Working pressure can be adjusted by turning
regulator. It is not necessary to stop working and
bleed the system before doing so.
Using the spray gun
Turn the compressed air regulator (14) clockwise
to reduce pressure and anticlockwise to increase.
Turn the nozzle regulator (15) clockwise to spray
in a jet and anticlockwise to spray in a fan shape.
Hold the gun perpendicular to the wall at a
distance of 20 cm.
Press and hold trigger (13). Paint will spray from
the nozzle.
Move the gun evenly from side to side, and allow
each stroke to overlap by approx. 50%.
Allow layers to dry before adding another coat.
Release trigger when finished painting.
If more paint is required, bleed pressure and
disconnect air supply before opening tank lid.
Follow the instructions above.
Disconnect air supply to tank, bleed pressure from
system when tank is not in use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Disconnect air supply to tank and bleed pressure
from system.
Close regulator fully by turning anticlockwise.
Slacken spray gun nozzle a little by turning the
nozzle regulator clockwise. Switch on air supply,
hold a cloth over the nozzle and press trigger.
Residual paint in the hose will be blown back into
the tank. Keep lid locked during this procedure to
prevent pressure forcing paint out of the tank!
Open lid, empty tank, clean tank and all parts that
come in contact with paint using a suitable
cleaning agent (see safety instructions).
Pour cleaning agent into tank, close lid, switch on
air supply and spray until cleaning agent comes
out of spray gun.
