2) Inserting the Circuit Breaker to the
Test/Disconnect Position
CAUTION
CAUTION
!
Prior to inserting the circuit breaker into the
circuit breaker compartment, make sure that
the control circuits are deenergized.
a. Open the compartment door.
b. Align the breaker with the circuit
breaker compartment.
c. Insert circuit breaker into the
test/disconnect position of the circuit
breaker compartment.
d. Insert the male side of the test
plug jumper (Figure 11, c) into the
compartment mounted test umbilical
receptacle (Figure 11, b).
e. Lift the test plug interlock device
(Figure 11, a).
f. While interlock device is in the up
position, insert the female end of the
test plug jumper (Figure 11, d) into
the circuit breaker test plug receptacle
(Figure 1, e).
g. Lock the test plug disconnect latch
(Figure 11, e) to the left.
Once you have completed steps a through g,
the circuit breaker is ready to be tested.

1) Removing the Circuit Breaker from the
Connected to the Test/Disconnected Position

Prior to removing the circuit breaker from the
circuit breaker compartment, make sure that
the control circuits are deenergized.
a. While the breaker is in the connected
position, press the push to trip knob
(Figure 14, a)
b. While push to trip knob is pressed in,
slide the racking access door
(Figure 14, b) to the left.
c. Insert the racking handle. Rotate the
handle counterclockwise
(out-direction), thus beginning the
racking out of the circuit breaker
towards test/disconnect position.
d. Continue racking the circuit breaker out
until the indicator flag (Figure 15, a)
displays TEST/DISCONNECTED. The
circuit breaker is now in the
Test/Disconnect position.
