PREPARING THE TOOL

1. After reading and understanding this entire manual, connect tool to
air supply (Fig. 18).

DANGER: 

Never point tool at yourself or others in work area.

Always connect tool to air supply before loading fasteners (Fig. 18).
Do not load fasteners with trigger depressed.
Only use approved Porter-Cable fasteners.
Operator and others in work area MUST wear safety glasses with side
shields. Always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved safety glasses, and hearing
protection when preparing or operating the tool.
Never use a tool that is leaking air, has missing or damaged parts, or
requires repair.

2.

Turn tool upside down, depress latch (1) Fig. 19 and slide magazine

cover (2) Fig. 19 open. Make certain the secondary trigger (B) Fig. 19 has
locked out the primary trigger (A) Fig. 19 to prevent unintentional actuation.
The magazine cover must be completely retracted to insure engagement of
pin height adjustment feature.

Insert a strip of approved fasteners (A) Fig. 20. Make certain the

direction arrow printed on the
fasteners is pointed up as shown.
NOTE: The direction arrow must
point in the same direction as the
pins will be driven.

4.

Push magazine cover closed as

shown in Fig. 21. Make certain cover
snaps in place.

5. Observe pin reload indicator
access hole (A) Fig. 22 to know when
fastener supply is low.
