The eBike must not be used with the drive 
battery removed.

Charging the drive battery

The drive battery is installed in the frame and 
can be replaced if necessary. The drive 
battery can be removed for external 
charging. When the drive battery is fitted to 
the eMTB, you insert the plug on the charger 
cable into the drive battery charging socket 
on the underside of the top tube. Close the 
cover on the charging socket when the 
charging process is finished. If the drive 
battery has been removed, the 
accompanying adapter must be fitted onto 
the plug on the charger cable and the 
adapter must then be plugged into the 
charging socket on the drive battery.

If you are charging the drive battery when it 
has been removed from the eMTB, you must 
do this on a level surface in an enclosed 
room.

The charging process starts automatically. 
The charge status display flashes to indicate 
that the battery is being charged. The LED on 
the charger lights up to show that the 
charging process is under way.

When the LED on the charger goes out, the 
battery is fully charged.

If the charging process differs from the 

description above, the charger and the drive 
battery must not be used. You must take 
them to your ROTWILD authorised dealer.
