AM/FM Stereo with Compact Disc

Player

Setting the clock: Press and hold HR

or MIN for two seconds. Then press and

hold the HR button until the correct hour

appears (AM or PM also appears).

Adjust minutes by pressing and holding

the MN button. To set time to an FM sta-

tion’s Radio Data System setting, press

and hold both HR and MN until UPDAT-

ED and the clock symbol appear on the

display. If the time is not available from

the station, NO UPDATE appears in the

display.

PWR (Power): Press to turn the system

on or off.

VOL (Volume): Turn to increase or

decrease volume.

SCV (Speed-Compensated Volume):

Adjusts automatically to compensate for

road and wind noise by increasing vol-

ume as vehicle speed increases. Set the

desired volume and push this button to

select MIN, MED or MAX. Higher settings

provide more compensation as speeds

increase. Disable it by selecting OFF.

RCL (Recall): Press this knob to switch

the display between the radio station fre-

quency and the time (or with the ignition

off, the time). To change the default dis-

play, push the RCL knob until the

desired display appears; then hold the

knob until the display flashes.

TONE: Push and release this knob until

BASS, MID or TREB appears on the dis-

play; turn the SELECT knob to increase

or decrease. To set all to the middle

position, press and hold TONE until

FLAT appears on the display.  

Setting stations: Six numbered 

pushbuttons let you program up to 30

stations (six each for AM, FM1, FM2,

XM1 and XM2). XM Satellite Radio is

available by subscription at an additional

cost and requires an XM-compatible

radio.
To program presets:

• Turn the radio on and press BAND to

select the band (AM, FM1/FM2/XM1/

XM2).

• Tune to the desired station.

• Press EQ to select the equalization

that best suits the type of station

selected.

• Press and hold one of the six num-

bered buttons until a beep sounds;

release the button.

• Repeat for each numbered preset.

Radio Data System (RDS): Your RDS-

equipped radio has the capability to:

• Seek only radio stations with the 

program types you prefer (such as

Jazz, Rock, News, etc.).

• Seek stations with traffic 

announcements.
