The crossed-out wastebasket symbol on the appliance
means that at the end of its useful lifespan, the product
must be disposed of separately from ordinary house-
hold wastes.
The user is responsible for delivering the appliance to an appro-
priate collection facility at the end of its useful lifespan.
Appropriate separate collection to permit recycling, treatment

Your Vaporetto may contain some residual water in the boiler
from the factory testing.

1. Unscrew the safety cap (
A
) (Fig.1) and fill the boiler with 0.75
litres of water, using the jug (
10
) and the funnel (
9
) provided
for this purpose (Fig.2).
2. Screw the cap firmly back into place with care.
Make sure that the safety cap (A) is correctly screwed
on, otherwise steam could leak out.
3. Hook the shoulder strap for carrying the device (
13
) into the
two eyelets (
G
) (Fig.3).
4. Open the door of the one-piece socket (
E
); insert the moul-
ded plug (
3
) until a click is heard (Fig. 4). Make sure that it is
firmly connected before proceeding any further. To release
the sheath, simply press the release key (
E1
) and at the
same time remove the moulded plug (
3
).
5. Plug the power cable (
F
) into a suitable earthed outlet.

1a. Press the ON/OFF switch (
B
). The ON lamp (
C
) and the
steam pressure indicator lamp (
D
) will both light up.
2a. Wait for the pressure indicator lamp (
D
) to extinguish
(about 10 minutes). Vaporetto is now ready for use.
3a. The steam sprayer (
2
) has a safety button (
2A
) that pre-
vents accidental activation of the steam delivery system by a
child or other persons unaware of how the device works. To
prevent the accidental output of steam press the button (
2A
).
To resume delivery press the button (
2A
) in the opposite
direction and operate the steam control lever (
4
) (Fig. 5).
The first jet of steam may contain some water droplets, due
to imperfect thermic stabilisation inside the flexible hose. We
would therefore advise that the first jet of steam is played
onto an old cloth until a constant steam flow is obtained.
Note: The steam pressure indicator (D) may go on and off
from time to time during use of Vaporetto, this is quite nor-
mal
VERY IMPORTANT WARNING:
If you press the steam request
lever (
4
) when the appliance is still under pressure, even if it is
off and not connected to the wiring system, you may still expe-
rience steam escaping from the flexible hose. So when you
switch off the appliance, before storing it, it is neccessary to
press the lever (
4
) till the steam flow is exhausted.

until the accessory locking button (
11
) clicks into place (Fig. 6).
• To release the accessories simply hold the button (
11
) down
and separate the components (Fig. 6).
• Before using the accessories, make sure that they are firmly in
place.
WARNING:
To connect the accessories (

This appliance is equipped with the patented safety cap, which
prevents opening of the boiler as long as there is any pressure
remaining inside. This is an important and indispensable safety
device, and it is necessary to follow certain procedures when re-
filling the boiler.
When no more steam comes out of the appliance, do as follows:
• Switch off the machine at the on/off switch (
B
).
• Press the steam request button (
4
) on the steam gun (
2
) so as
to fully exhaust the steam supply from the boiler.
• Disconnect the power supply cable (
F
) from the mains.
• Wait for a few minutes to allow the generator boiler to cool
down.
• Unscrew anti-clockwise the patented safety cap (
A
).
• When cool, proceed to carefully refill the boiler as described in
paragraph 1 of the section “Preparation for Use”. If refilling the
generator when not completely cooled, we recommend that
you then CAREFULLY pour only very small quantities of water
at each pouring, so as to avoid spitting from the boiler. Cover
exposed skin whilst filling.

WARNINGS
• For cleaning leather, wood or delicate fabrics, consult the sur-
face manufacturers instructions. Clean only by using the hand
gun at a safe distance together with a soft cloth and always do
a test on a non visible part of the item first or on a sample.
Allow the test area to dry completely before observing results
and effects on surface or colour before proceeding to clean
further areas, making sure that exactly the same distance and
technique are applied as for the test area.
DO NOT USE ON DRAYLON, VELVET OR OTHER SIMILAR
PILE OR DELICATE SURFACES
• For cleaning wood surfaces (furniture, doors etc.) or brickwork
floors take great care as a too long application of the steam
could alter the waxed appearance, the shine or the colour of
the surfaces cleaned. We therefore recommend you to apply
the steam on such surfaces only for brief periods or to clean
these surfaces using a cloth first held in the steam.
• When cleaning glass surfaces in particularly low temperatures
preheat the glass holding the hand gun at minimum 50cm
distance from the surface to be cleaned.
• For the care of your plants vaporise at a minimum distance of
50 centimetres.
STEAM GUN (2)
The handgun can be used directly, without connecting the bru-
shes, on all spots requiring a stronger, closer treatment.
The more resistant the stain, the closer you should hold the gun,
the steam pressure and temperature being higher at the source.
You should however always wipe with a dry cloth (or a slightly
abrasive sponge-if the spot is a difficult one to remove) after
using the gun.
The steam gun is particularly efficient at:
• breaking down rug and carpet stains before they are treated
with the large brush;
• cleaning stainless steel surfaces, panes, mirrors, enamelled
surfaces;
• cleaning hard-to-reach corners, such as stairs, window sills,
door posts;
• cleaning knobs of cookers, and water tap basis
• cleaning window shutters, heaters, car interiors;
• spraying plants (from a distance);
• removing odours and creases from clothes.
To reach higher points, the steam gun can be connected to one
or both extension tubes.
LARGE BRUSH (8)
To wash floors, put a clean, dry cloth under the brush and swing
back and forth without applying any pressure. Use the other side
of the cloth when the first one gets dirty. Use the brush directly
without the cloth on particularly dirty or incrusted areas and in
spaces between the tiles: swing the brush sideways to detach
