Connect accessory iron to the generator as descri-
bed in paragraph “ACCESSORIES CONNEC-
TION”.

Check the manufacturer’s label on the garment,
and interpret the symbol on the label as follows:

STEAM IRONING

1b.For

STEAM

ironing, turn the dial (

7

) and set

the iron to its

MAXIMUM

travel on the “COT-

TON - LINEN” steam position (fig.7).

NB Set at its maximum, do NOT set
against the picture of iron on the dial (7)

.

Most fabric types, other than delicates can
be STEAM-ironed at this temperature,
please consult the garment label. If you want
to DRY iron, set the dial (

7

) to the required

temperature for the fabric as shown on the
dial.

Nb fabric indications on the dial are for
DRY ironing, for STEAM ironing set at
maximum travel as explained above.

NOTE:

before starting ironing,  make sure that

the iron is hot enough by checking that the light
on the iron handle has gone out (

10b

).

NOTE:

On first usage, be sure that the conti-

nuos steam jet button (

10a

) is not set on.

2b. Wait for the pressure indicator light (

5

) to go out

(about 15 minutes). Push the steam request
button (

10

) on the iron to release bursts of

steam from the holes on the soleplate. Release
the button and the steam will stop (fig. 8).

NOTE:

during initial operation of the iron, a few

drops of water mixed with steam may come out
of the soleplate until the temperature stabilises.
It is advisable to direct the first jets of steam
onto an old cloth until a uniform stable jet of
steam is obtained.

3b. In order to have a continuous steam jet, move

the continuos steam jet button (

10a

) forwards.

Steam will keep on coming out, even if you re-
lease the button. To stop the flow, move the
continuos steam jet button (

10a

) backwards

(fig. 9).

4b. By turning the steam control (

6

) you can vary

the amount of steam according to the type of
textile to be ironed (more or less delicate). You
can use this control to increase the steam flow
by turning it in an anti-clockwise direction. Tur-
ning the control in a clockwise direction redu-
ces the steam flow (fig. 10).

5b. When there is no more steam to release, the

water level warning light will come on (

4

). See

the “Patented Safety Cap  / Water out” para-
graph to refill the boiler.

6b. The appliance is equipped with a rigid iron rest

mat (

11

) (fig.11) which can be removed and put

elsewhere if required.

Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to its
MAXIMUM travel at the end of the 3
dots symbol on your Polti iron

Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to
its MAXIMUM travel at the end of the
THREE (nb THREE, not two) dots sym-
bol on your Polti iron

DRY IRON only, with iron dial set at one
dot. N.B. NEVER CALL FOR STEAM
BY

PRESSING STEAM REQUEST

BUTTON when DRY ironing. See spe-
cial instructions for DRY ironing in the
instruction book.

DO NOT IRON. Neither steam nor dry
ironing allowed.
