STEAM IRONING
1b. Set the iron temperature on the “COTTON -
LINEN” steam position (fig. 5), by turning
the knob (
G
).
2b. Wait for both the steam pressure indicator
light (
K
) and the “iron heating” indicator
light (
J1
) to switch off (about 15 minutes).
Press the button (
H
) on the iron to release
steam from the holes on the soleplate. Re-
lease the button to stop the steam flow (fig.
6).
NOTE:
at the first steam request, a few
drops of water mixed with steam may come
out of the soleplate until the temperature
stabilises. It is advisable to direct the first
jets of steam onto an old cloth until a uni-
form stable jet of steam is obtained.
3b. In order to have a continuous steam jet,
move the button (
J
) forwards. Steam will
keeps on coming out, even releasing the
button (
H
). To interrupt the steam flow,
move the button (
J
) backwards (fig. 7).
DRY IRONING
1c. For DRY ironing (without steam), set the
temperature by turning the knob (
G
) on the
position required for the fabric, as shown on
the same knob. When dry ironing, be care-
ful NOT TO PRESS THE STEAM RE-
LEASE BUTTON (
H
) on the iron, otherwise
water may leak from the soleplate.
NOTE:
• Both (
K
) and (
J1
) indicator lights go on and
off during operation, which is quite normal
and means that the electric resistance is
operating to maintain constant the pressure
in the boiler.
• If no steam is released from the iron, check
that the steam pressure light (
K
) is off.

The appliance is equipped with a safety cap,
which prevents opening of the boiler as long as
there is any pressure remaining inside. This is
an important and indispensable safety device,
and it is necessary to follow certain procedures
when re-filling the boiler.
Lack of water is indicated by the (
K
) indicator li-
ght, which changes from constant to flashing.
Whenever you have used up all the water in
the boiler, proceed as follows:
1d. Switch off the main switch (
B
)
2d. Disconnect the power cable from the
mains.
3d. Wait for a few minutes to allow the boiler to
cool down.
4d. Unscrew anti-clockwise the patented safety
cap (
A
)
5d. When cool, proceed to carefully refill the
boiler as described in paragraph 5a of the
section “Preparation for Use”. If refilling the
boiler when not completely cool, we recom-
mend that you carefully pour only very
small quantities of water at each pouring
into the tank, so as to avoid spitting from
the tank and cover exposed skin and face
whilst filling.

NOTE:
Before putting the board away, keep
the board heater (
C
) on for a few minutes to dry
any condensation.
1e. Turn off (
B-C-P
) switches.
2e. Disconnect the supply cable from the
mains.
Wind the power supply cable (
D
) around its
support (
Q
).
3e. Pull the opening lever (
O
) upwards and
guide the board (
N
) downwards.
NOTE:
Because of the weight of the ironing
surface, during closing and height adjust-
ment hold the board with both hands.
4e. To put away the ironing board vertically
closed, it is advisable to put the iron on its
rest (
F
) securing it with the fixing belt (
V
)
fastened to the support device (fig. 8).
5e. The appliance stands vertically (fig. 9).
