pliance to an appropriate collection facility at
the end of its useful lifespan.
Appropriate separate collection to permit recy-
cling, treatment and environmentally compati-
ble disposal helps prevent negative impact on
the environment and human health and promo-
tes recycling of the materials making up the
product. For more information on available col-
lection facilities, contact your local waste col-
lection service or the shop where you bought
this appliance.

Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. This is the reason why your
VAPORELLA may contain some residual water
in the boiler.

1a. Rest the board on the floor.
2a. To open the ironing board, just pull the iron-

ing surface upwards keeping a foot on Va-
porella side leg of the board until locking
takes place (fig. A).
To adjust height, unfasten the lever (

O

) and

move the board upwards or downwards.

NOTE:

Because of the weight of the ironing

surface, during closing and height adjust-
ment hold the board with both hands.

3a. Insert the cable holder (

M

) in its location

(fig. 1).

4a. Place the monoflex (iron power supply -

steam tube) (

E

) in its support (fig. 2).

5a. Unscrew the safety cap (

A

) and fill the

boiler with about 1 litre of water using the
filler bottle (

I

)

(fig.3) making sure that it

does not overflow.
Normal tapwater can be used. However, as
hard water by its nature contains limestone,
which may cause a build-up of limescale in
the boiler, in hard water areas we  recom-
mend the use of our natural-base decalci-
fier KALSTOP, available from your Polti
dealer or by mail order from your Polti serv-
ice Centre.

WARNING:

Do NOT under any circumstan-

ces put or leave the filler bottle in the water
filling aperture of the appliance when the
appliance is connected to the mains electri-
city supply. Danger of burns!

6a. Connect the power supply cable (

D

) into an

earthed power supply of the correct volt-
age.

7a. Press the main switch (

B

); the steam  pres-

sure indicator (

K

) and the “iron heating” in-

dicator light (

J1

) light up (fig. 4).

8a. To operate the board, turn the board main

switch (

C

) on. In this way the board heater

starts working.
Wait a few minutes to allow the heater to
reach working temperature.
It is now possible to activate blowing and
suction features:

9a.

BLOWING:

By pushing the function switch

(

P

) on position (

I

), the board allows you to

swell the clothes with a “hot blow”, so that
you can gently skim with the iron the most
delicate clothes, ironing them with steam
only.

10a.

SUCTION:

By pushing the function switch

(

P

) on position (

II

), the board holds the

clothes to the surface and eliminate the
residual humidity.

Note:

to avoid condensation inside the

ironing board we recommend to use the
suction function while steam ironing.
