Setting the Control Side
(Queen or King-size blankets only)
The wireless remote controls can operate the left side, right side, or both sides
of King and Queen blankets. (If you have a Double-size blanket, one remote
operates the entire blanket.) Each person has complete control over their
temperature level for the ultimate in individualized comfort.
You can use one remote to operate both sides of the blanket (both sides of the
blanket will have the same heat level). Or, you can use two remotes to set
separate heat levels for each side of the blanket. “L” (LEFT) AND “R” (RIGHT)
ARE NOTED ON THE BLANKET LABEL ABOVE THE CONNECTOR.
1
. Prior to setting the control side, be sure that the amber
light on the base unit is lit, the battery is installed in the
remote, and the remote has been synchronized to the
base unit.
2
. Remove snap-on base (see page
8
).
3
. Slide the switch on the back of the remote to:
L
– if you want the remote to operate
the left side of the blanket.
R
– if you want the remote to operate
the right side of the blanket.
BOTH
– if you want one remote to operate
both sides of the blanket.
Note: The blanket responds to the last command sent by a
remote. If both remotes are set to BOTH, each can change
the temperature of the blanket.
4
. Snap the base back on the remote when done.
5
. Repeat steps
1
through
3
to set the second remote to
control the opposite side of the bed.

Synchronizing the Remotes to the Base Unit
If you replace a remote, both remotes will need to be synchronized to the base
unit. This is done so that the remotes used with the blanket are the only ones
that can control it.
1
. Make sure the blanket is plugged in, the base unit’s
amber light is on, both remotes are nearby, and there is
a battery in each one.
2
. Using a pencil or paper clip, press in the RESET button
on the bottom of the base unit. Both remote addresses
are immediately “forgotten.”
Note: Both red lights on the base unit will flash.
3
. Press the center illumination button on one remote,
(the button with the Polartec
®
logo ) and one of the
red lights on the base unit will illuminate steadily
indicating the code has been received.
4
. Press the center illumination button of the second
remote to store its code. The second light will illuminate
steadily.
Note: It is necessary to synchronize both remotes each
time. This insures that both operate properly.
