7. Maintenance and Repair
All test results, maintenance and repair work which is undertaken on the hoist must be
documented in writing!
Maintenance and repair work must be carefully carried out, as this serves to maintain the
hoist and guarantee its safety.
All maintenance and repair work must be carried out by expert, trained personnel.
As far as possible, repair work must be carried out on unloaded hoists and not in
potentially explosive atmospheres.
7.1 Inspection Intervals
The table below gives an overview of test procedures required under normal operating
conditions and single-shift operation. Under more difficult circumstances or in a multi shift
operation, inspection intervals should be shortend accordingly.
