6.1 Defrosting
COOLING COMPARTMENT
1.
The cooling compartment is defrosted automatically. The water runs into a
container near the compressor
.
2.
If the automatic defrosting does not meet the requirements, e.g. on days with
high ambient temperatures and humidity, defrost the appliance manually as
described above.
FREEZERCOMPARTMENT
1.
Remove the contents from the freezing-compartment and put them into a
cooling box.
2.
Place a container in front of the appliance to catch the water.
3.
Switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat to position 0/ AUS/OFF
and
disconnect it from the mains.
4.
When the encrusted ice melts put some dry cloths into the freezer-
compartment to hold the water back.
5.
Remove the big pieces of ice first.
6.
Afterwards remove the small pieces of ice.
7.
Wipe and dry the appliance and door seals with dry and soft cloths.
8.
After cleaning leave the door open for some time to ventilate the appliance.
Optional procedure
if
encrusted ice should have occurred:
WARNING! Switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat
(
depending on model) to position
O /
AUS / OFF
and
disconnect it from
the mains.
WARNING! To disconnect the appliance from the mains, you must
unplug the appliance or use a cut-off device.
