2.1 Unpacking and positioning 

 

1.

 

Unpack the appliance carefully. Dispose of the packaging as described in chapter 

waste management. 

2.

 

Completely remove the transport-protection. Be very careful and do not use any 
aggressive or abrasive detergents to remove residuals of the transport-protection. 

3.

 

Check that the appliance and the power cord are not visible damaged. 

4.

 

Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated place. 

5.

 

Do not install the appliance in a place where it may come in contact with water 
or rain; otherwise, the insulation of the electrical system will be damaged. 

6.

 

Install the appliance on a 

level, dry and solid floor

. Check the correct installation 

with a bubble level. 

7.

 

The appliance must not be installed near of  a door. 

8.

 

Furniture adjacent to the electric cooker must not be higher than the appliance 

itself  (top edge of  the electric cooker). 

9.

 

If  the appliance is installed beside pieces of  furniture which are higher than the 

appliance itself  (top edge of  the hob), 

a minimum distance of  200 mm must 

be maintained between the appliance and the furniture

. 

10.

 

Remove  the  complete  packaging  material  (inside  and  outside  the  appliance) 

before initial operation. 

11.

 

Connect the appliance to the mains properly.  

12.

 

Manufacturing residues or oil having remained in the appliance or on the heating 

element  may  cause  some  odours  and  smoke  emission.  These  are  normal 

operational parameters, which will disappear after several uses. Open the room 

door or a window to ensure proper ventilation. 

13.

 

The rating plate is situated inside the appliance or at the back.
