When you use an appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including 
the following:

Do not leave the appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use 
and before servicing. 

 

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. 

 

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with 
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and 
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning 
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 

 

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance 

 

Use only as described in this manual. Use only the manufacturer’s 
recommended attachments. 

 

Do not use with a damaged cord or plug. If the appliance is not working as it 
should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, return 
it to a service centre. 

 

Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close a door on the 
cord, or pull around sharp edges or corners. Do not run the appliance over the 
cord. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. 

 

Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord. 

 

Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands. 

 

Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep 
free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce airflow. 

 

Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings 
and moving parts. 

 

Turn off all controls before unplugging. 

 

Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. 

 

Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as petrol, or use in 
areas where they may be present. 

 

Do not use without dirt container and filters in place. 

 

Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, 
or hot ashes. 

 

Keep the vacuum cleaner on the floor. Only hand-held vacuum cleaners may be 
placed on furniture. 

 

Cleaner must be in the upright position to lift the rotating brush roll of the carpet 
when doing above floor cleaning. 

 

Do not use an extension cord with this vacuum cleaner. 

 

Put the vacuum cleaner away after use, to prevent tripping accidents. 

 

Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to 
the user. 

 

Use only when connected to a supply corresponding to the voltage marked on 
the rating label. 

 

Do not carry the vacuum cleaner while it is running. 

 

Keep your work area well lit.
