Memorizing station presets
If you often listen to a particular radio station, it's
convenient to have the receiver store the frequency for
easy recall whenever you want to listen to that station.
This saves the effort of manually tuning in each time. The
receiver can memorize up to 30 stations, stored in three
banks, or classes, (A, B and C) of 10 stations each. When
memorizing FM frequencies, the receiver also stores the
MPX setting (see
MPX mode
on page 26).

Press T.EDIT.
The display shows
ST. MEMORY
then a blinking memory
class (
A
,
B
or
C
).

Press CLASS to select one of the three classes.
Press repeatedly to cycle through the three memory
classes,
A
,
B
and
C
.

Use the ST +/– buttons (or the number buttons)
to select the station memory number you want.
Press repeatedly to cycle through the 10 available station
memories in each class.

While the display is blinking, press ENTER.

Repeat steps 1 – 5 to memorize up to 30 stations.
Naming station presets
You can input a name of up to four characters for each
preset station in the receiver’s memory. For example, you
could input
JAZZ
for that station and when you listen to
it the name, rather than the frequency number, will
appear in the display.

Press the FM/AM button on the remote control.

Press CLASS repeatedly to select the class.
Press repeatedly to cycle through the three memory
classes,
A
,
B
and
C
.

Use the ST +/– buttons to select an FM preset
station.

Press T.EDIT to select the station name mode
(ST.NAME).

Use the
/
(cursor left/right) buttons to
choose the first character.
Scroll through the letters, numbers and symbols,
stopping on the one you want.

Press ENTER to input the first of the four
characters.
That character lights steadily in the display and the
cursor automatically moves to the next space.

Enter up to three more characters in the same
way.
Any time you want to exit the process you can press the
T.EDIT
button.

Press ENTER when you have got the characters
you want to enter.

Repeat steps 2 – 6 to memorize up to 30 preset
broadcast station names.
Tip
• To change a station name, just enter the new name
over the top of the old one. To erase a station name,
enter a new name of four spaces.
• You can switch between the frequency display and
the station name display using the
DISPLAY
button.
Listening to memorized station presets

Press the FM/AM button on the remote control.

station is stored.
Press repeatedly to cycle through the three memory
classes,

and
C
.

Use the ST +/– buttons to select the station
memory in which the station is stored.
You can also use the number buttons on the remote
control to recall the station preset.
Note
• If the power is left disconnected from the receiver for
more than about a month, the station presets will be
lost and will have to be reprogrammed.
